Abstract

This paper is aimed at finding the influence of improving employee speaking skill through direct method in Salesperson Department of ACE Hardware Indonesia. In completing this paper, the writer took the sample randomly the employees at salesperson Department which are 20 employees. The test divided into pre-test and post-test of speaking test in presented the product Ace Hardware. The implementation of the research is conducted from July 2020 until August 2020. After completing the research, the data were analyze using statistic technique with SPSS 25 version to discover the result of experimental study. The result shows that there is a significant positive influence between speaking skill (variable X) and direct method (variable Y) with coefficient. The results of the related test formula, the writer found tobserve 27,508 ≥ 2,093 Ttable, it is significant influence. It indicated that direct method gives high contribution to the speaking skill.
