Abstract

The aim of this research is to find the types and function in The Language style using casual form in kung fu panda 3 Language style that occurred casual form. This research applied descriptive qualitative method, while the data were collected watching the movie and read the script, language style using casual form in kung fu panda 3 movie. This research applies the kung fu panda 3 movie, theory of Geeraerts for meaning relation and theory of Martin Joos. As the results of representative data, the types of casual form found in the movie are Relaxed Language, Personal Pronounce, Informal Register, Shared Cultural References, and Social Bonding. All of the casual form in this research are often used for daily conversation and. All of type and function of language style, ease of communication, expressing personality and emotion reducing social distance, adaptability and flexibility. Based on the data, the casual form used for the main character to make the audience comfortable. Keywords: Casual form, Language style, Movie, Kung Fu Panda 3
