Abstract
This study aims to see the portrayal of the discrimination issue that happened in Hidden Figures movie. This study uncovered and explained the sorts of prejudice also discrimination experienced by all three main characters. In order to achieve this, the writer uses Patricia Hill Collin’s Theory to discover the value of black feminist in Hidden Figures movie. Descriptive qualitative was used in this study, and the data was collected from utterances, actions, and explanations of a circumstance relevant to the research issue. Based on the data, the writer discovered four types of discrimination that occurred in the movie by using theory from Mary E. Kite and Bernard E. Whitley Jr. these are organizational discrimination, institutional discrimination, interpersonal discrimination, and cultural discrimination. The results of this thesis are shows how black feminism value raise the awareness for good change in their lives.
