Abstract
This research aims to increase early childhood vocabulary through the Learning by Doing method at class TK B. 1 Nurul Ikhwan Kindergarten. This research applies the type of Classroom Action Research carried out in two cycles. After carrying out a pre-test to determine the students' abilities, the author conducted cycle consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data in this research were obtained from observations and students' oral and writing test scores from pre-test, post-test 1 to post-test 2. The author has 2 criteria for success, they are the average score is 71 above and 50% of students get 71 above. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in students' vocabulary and student responses. In the first criterion, the average score pre-test is 50, the average score post-test 1 is 65, and the average score post-test cycle 2 is 79. Furthermore, the second criterion reached 23.1% in pre-test, rose to 42.3% in post-test cycle one, and improve to 73.1% in second post-test. From the results of observations during the cycle, it shows that students are motivated and more active in the teaching and learning process using the Learning by Doing method.
