Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how to use homorganic phonemes that appear because there are similarities in place of articulation and manner of articulation. The writer has used the method of analysis with qualitative research methods with descriptive discourse. In order to emphasize this research to focus on one field of phonology, the writer have taken advantage of the theory of linguists including the theory of Beverley Collins and Inger Henry rogers as the main theory. The research process carried out is to sort the data that has been obtained. After that, analyzing the data on the basis of a managed theory, then evaluating the results of the research. Therefore, Base on the form of homorganic above that 38 data found in the album "American Idiot" by Green Day. It can conclude that the result are homorganic affricative has been found 15 (65.2%), homorganic lateral has been 6 (26.1%), and homorganic nasal release has been 2 (8.7%).
