Abstract
This research discusses the anxiety disorder of Princess Diana in the series The Crown: fourth season by Peter Morgan. The aims of this research were to: (1) identify the types of anxiety disorders in Princess Diana's psyche and (2) discover how Princess Diana deal with anxiety disorder. The object data used in this study are 31 data in the form of visual data taken from several scenes along with verbal data in the form of dialogue on the character of Princess Diana in the series. In this research, the writer used qualitative methods. The writer uses a psychoanalysis approach with the main approach from Sigmund Freud (1936-1959) which was developed by Jess Feist (2006) with the theory of anxiety, and Lilienfeld (2006 with the theory of defense mechanisms. The results of the research show: (1) there are 18 types of anxiety disorder data realistic caused by 2 data of the neurotic type of anxiety disorder, and 4 data of the moral type of anxiety disorder and (2) this research shows: 4 data of repression type of defense mechanism and 3 data of displacement type.
