Abstract
This study is aimed to explain the kinds of reverses in English. The subject of the research is Perfume: The Story of Murderer novel published on February, 2007. The research uses a descriptive analysis qualitative research. The main theory of this research are reverses theory of Cruse (2010) and Rambaud (2012). The data from this research are twenty, which include ten data of reverse literal, seven data of reverse motion, and three data of reverse antonym (process). The process in analyzing the data is: (1) preparing the data, (2) analyzing the data, (3) discussing the data, and finally (4) concluding the data. The results of the research show that reverse literal emerged ten times (50%), reverse motion emerged seven times (35%), and reverse antonym (process) emerged three times (15%).
