Abstract

This research is phonology research. This study aims to determine how a plosive phoneme can be formed in a word. This study describes the analysis of the plosive phoneme elements in Billie Eilish's song "I Love You". The data setting used is one song, and the data object used in this study is 30 data. In this study the author uses a qualitative method. This research was conducted from March to August 2022. In this study, the authors classify and explain in detail the phonon elements of the plosive phonemes in the song data. The results of the interpretation of data from the analysis of this study indicate that in the song there are 13.3% plosive phonemes /p/, 30% plosive phonemes /t/, 6.7% plosive phonemes /k/, plosive phonemes /b/ as many as 10%, plosive phoneme /d/ 20%, and plosive phoneme /g/ 20%. This analysis shows that the plosive phonemes /d/ and /g/ are the most common phonemes in the song.
