Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the types and reasons for using mixed code on Maudy Ayundya's youtube. This research is a qualitative descriptive method. Meanwhile, the data for this research was obtained from viewing and recording scripts on Maudy Ayundya's youtube. This research is Pieter Muysken's theory for the types of code mixing and the reasons for using Hocket's code mixing theory. Based on the data that has been analyzed. The results showed that, first, there were two types of code mixing found, namely, data 32 (insertion), 6 (alternation), and 0 (congruent lexicaization). Next is the reason for using mixed code, namely, 37 (prestige filling motive) and 1 (need filling motive).
