Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the moral values in the movie The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019), which tells the story of a young boy who suffers from Down syndrome. This study uses a type of qualitative research in which the data obtained by watching and observing scene by scene as well as dialogue related to moral values. This study uses the theory of moral value by Eyre and Eyre's. Two categories of moral values are discovered by the writer in the Peanut Butter Falcon movie. First, is the moral value of being, which is divided into several categories, they are honesty (24 %), courage (48%), peaceability (16 %), selfreliance/potential (12 %), self-discipline/moderation (0 %), and fidelity/chastity (0%). The second type of moral value exists is moral value of giving, which is divided into loyalty/ dependability (24%), respect (12%), love (12%), unselfishness/sensitivity (28%), kindness/friendliness (16%), and justice/mercy (8%).
