Abstract

This is pragmatic research. The specific aim of this research is to explain the utterances that have type of felicity condition. The source data of this research is movie Internet entitled in the Heart of the Sea. This research uses descriptive qualitative methodology research. For theory, the writer use Searle’s theory. Total data in this research is twenty, they are four data of general condition, two data of content condition, four data of preparatory and five of sincerity condition and essential condition. The process to identify the types of felicity condition found in In the Heart of the Sea movie is collecting the data. Classifying the data based on theory felicity condition, concluding the data analysis, identifying the data of types of felicity condition based on Searle’s theory. The result of the paper shows that there are (2,5%) sincerity and essential condition, (10%) content condition, (20%) general condition and preparatory condition.
