Abstract

This study is aimed to analyze more deeply about lexical ambiguity found on the lyric songs by Bruno Mars. The research uses a method of qualitative research. The writer conducted this research from March to July 2019. This research use the theory of semantics from Lobeck and Denham as the main theory to analyze ambiguity. And use kreidler theory to analyze lexical ambiguity. The writer also use theory of cruse the identify the meaning of the sentence. The writer takes 23 data from the lyric songs by Bruno Mars in his Doo-woops and Hooligans Album in 2010. The writer also tried to find kinds of word form in the songs in three categories : noun, verb and adjective. From 23 data the most types of data found is noun 10 data, verb 12 data and adjective 1 data.
