Abstract

The aim of this research is for finding the meaning equivalence between phrasal verbs and single verbs. The research method used for this research is a qualitative research method that is descriptive. The theoretical basis is used as a guide, so that the focus on the title of this research with the fact had taken from several linguist. The writer applied Wyatt and Palmer theory as the main theory. The process of data analysis includes collecting data that has been obtained, analyzed based on theory that has been collected, and concluded the final results. Analysis data was successfully obtained from the Beginning of Everything Novel is 30. The result of data analysis shows that the form of phrasal verb which more dominating is V + Adverb. It can be concludes that the result are V + Adverb has been found (80%), V + Preposition has been (17 %), and V + Adverb + Preposition has been (3%).
