Abstract

This study aimed to find out about the differences and the sameness the allomorph in the three songs of Ed Sheeran. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. This study is conducted from February to July 2019. This study attempts to examine the allomorph in a songs. This research uses the theory of Rochelle Liever, Ralph W. Fasold, and Martin Haspelmath in classiying of allomorph. From the research of allomorph there are three kinds. And the analysis is cannot only using the morphology approach but also using the phonology approach, morphophonology, phonological condition and following the complementary distribution. The allophone on the suffix (-s), (-es), and (-ed) has 13 which is 50% from 26. The Allomorph on the suffix (-s), (-es), and (-ed) has 13 also which is 50% from 26.
