Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyze Pat’s symptoms from the silver lining playbook film, to describe the causes of bipolar disorder that occurs in the main character and to find out the main character can handle the symptoms of bipolar disorder. The place of this research is in the house and references are taken from several journals in Google Scholar and the book website at pdfdrive.com. This research uses a qualitative method, while the data obtained by watching a film while noting some of the scenes to be analyzed. This research applies the theory of Caponigro and Lee for the symptoms of bipolar disorder, the theory of Plotnik and Koyyoumdjian for the causes of bipolar disorder, and the theory of Berk for deal with bipolar disorder. Based on the research findings, there are symptoms of bipolar disorder 2 symptoms consisting of data for manic episodes 8 and data for depressive episodes 3, causes of bipolar disorder 2 data, and treatment for bipolar disorder 3 data and the writer’s suggestions for this research to provide readers with new knowledge about psychoanalysis and recognize bipolar disorder symptoms, causes, and deal with.
