Abstract
This research aim to discuss address terms by the characters in The Fault in Our Stars movie. The purpose of this research is to find the type of address term and review the social factor social are mostly in terms of address by the characters in The Fault in Our Stars movie. The research use descriptive qualitative method for this paper. The data is taken from the words and utterances of the characters in the movie The Fault in Our Stars. The main theory used to analyse the data is Ronald Wardaugh theory which is cited from the book An Introduction to Sociolinguistic. In this study, several address terms were found in the film, including first name (20%), title plus last name (25%), title only (5%), special nickname or kindship (35%), a lot of informal address terms are used because it talks about teenage romance.
