Abstract

This research is simply aimed to analyze psychological conflict in June Moone. June Moone is a character in Suicide Squad movie by David Ayer. June Moone was chosen because she played a decent role in feeling and experiencing the psychological conflict in her life. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. This research was conducted from March 2017 to July 2017. This research uses the theory of Herbert C. Kelman in determining the type of conflict experienced by June Moone. This research focuses on the dialogue between characters of each scene to determine the main causes, types, and effects of conflict psychology in the movie. From this research there are four types of conflicts found in twenty-five data. When the research was conducted, the writer came to the conclusion that the psychological conflict of June Moone character in Suicide Squad is a conflict that driven from collective needs and fears (16 Datum64%), conflict of intersocietal process (2 Datum-8%), conflict of multifaceted process of mutual influence (4 Datum-16%), and conflict of interactive process with an escalatory, self-perpetuating dynamic (3 Datum-12%).
