Abstract

This research is aimed to know movement process of deep and surface sturctures in every sentences which available in conversation texts by Lynne Visutskie. The implementation of this research was conducted from March 2017 to July 2017. The kind of this research is qualitative descriptive, where the writer is an instrument of this research. The writer used main theory by Gerald P. Delahunty and Mark Newson to analyze the research. This research only focuses in a simple sentence in the conversation texts. The result of this research can show twenty eight data, they are preposing and topic position movement. Furthermore, the identifying deep structure used for movement process, it can be concluded that the most frequent is preposing movement. Preposing movement is the first position by 96,4% and followed by topic position is 3,6%. The process of data analysis are: (1) preparing the data, (2) analyzing the data, (3) discussing the data, (4) revising and concluding the result.
