Abstract

Thisresearchisatranslationshift.ThesourcedataoftheresearchistheCrazyRichAsiansnovelwrittenbyKevinKwan.Theresearchusesdescriptivequalitativemethodologyresearch.ThisresearchcombinedtheoryfromCatford(1965),Newmark(1988)andNida(1973)asthemaintheory.Totaldatainthisresearchistwenty-four,theyarezerodataofstructureshift,eightdataofclassshift,sixteendataofunitshift,zerodataofintrasystemshift.Theprocessofanalyzingthedatais:(1)collectingthenoundatafromCrazyRichAsiansnovel, (2)describingthosedatabasedonthefindingsofthetranslationshiftandformalanddynamicequivalences,(3)analyzingthedatafoundwhetherthedataincludestranslationshift,(4)concludingthedataanalysis.Theresultsofthepapershowthatthereisatranslationshift,structure(0%),class(33%),unit(67%),andintrasystem(0%).Thatformalequivalenceemergedzerotime(0%)anddynamicequivalenceemergedtwenty-fourtime(100%)
