Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find words that are included into The creation processes of Simple, compound, and Complex Word in the Snow White Short Story by Desideria Guicciardini. A qualitative method was applied to this research, by obtaining data from collecting data and observing word with analysing the words with Cambridge and Oxford dictionaries as references. The information from these dictionaries is used to verify meaning, pronunciation and spelling of the data found. This research applied the theory of Haspelmath (2002) and Katamba (1993). Based on the result of data analysis, some simple, compound and complex words found in this short story -ly, -ed, ion, ful, ment and many more. Meanwhile, some simple, compound and complex words found in this short story. This, there are 35 data found simple (sixteen data), compound (two data), and complex (seventeen data)
