Abstract

This research explains how to determine the relationship between vocabulary mastery and speaking skills with clients of staffs in PT. Kelola Aset Teknologi. This research, conducted in July 2022, is quantitative research that focuses on marketing staff with a population of 25 staff but for the sample is 10 staff. It is related to the collection of numerical data, namely quantitative research, especially correlation analysis. During implementation, the instruments to collect data were a vocabulary test to measure vocabulary mastery and a speaking test to measure speaking ability which was distributed to subject of the research. The data analysis technique in this study uses the Pearson Product Moment correlation formula. After the research was completed, this research came out with the result r count 0,992 which means there was a significant relationship between vocabulary mastery and speaking ability. Interpretation of correlation is included in a very strong relationship with a coefficient of determination of 98.40%, implying that vocabulary mastery affects speaking ability meanwhile 1.6% was influenced by other variables such as courage and habit.
