Abstract
This research is aimed to know how often translation technique occurs in every sentence which available in Daddy novel by Danielle Steel. This research was conducted from March to July 2017. It is qualitative descriptive, where the writer is an instrument of this research. This research tries to explore the translation technique analysis in the novel. The writer uses translation technique by Hoed and classifies the types of translation techniques. This research only focuses on a compound sentence in the novel. The result of this research shows forty data of translation technique. They are transposition 26 (65%), modulation 8 (20%), and contextual conditioning 6 (15%). Daddy by Danielle Steel is trying to fulfill the purpose of attract the attention of the readers.
