Abstract

This study aimed to find out about the use of plot and setting in “CIVIL WARS” film. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. This study was conducted from March to July 2017. This study attempts to examine the use of plot and setting contained in a film. This study uses the theory of X.J Kennedy in classifying the type of plot and setting. From this research there are types of plot there are Exposition 60%, Ricing action 10%, Climaxs 10%, Falling action 10%, Resolution 10%. There are 50% setting place and 50% setting time.The authors hope other researchs to use the material or any other data apart in the research type from “civil wars” film.
