Abstract

This research is a morphology research. This study is aimed to explain the process of multiple affixations of words. The source data of the research is Jakarta Post newspaper especially in business columns. The writer arranged this research from March to July 2019. The research uses qualitative methodology research. This research is combining theory from Katamba (1993), Lieber (2009) and Plag (2002) as the main theory. Total data in this research forty, every data has two until five affixes. The data in this research consist of inflectional affixes that found thirty one as suffixes and derivational affixes that found twenty seven as prefixes and thirty six as suffixes. The process of analysing data is: (1) collecting the data from Jakarta Post columns of business, (2) identifying the data based on theory, (3) classifying the multiple affixations, which root, prefix and suffix, (4) concluding the data analysis. The result of the paper show that there are suffixes (71,3%), prefixes (28,7%), derivations (67%), and inflections (33%).
