Abstract
This study aimed to describe the notions of semantic on ads devoted to meaning, proposition, and implication. The subject of the research is Untuk Negeriku book by Mohammad Hatta as his autobiography. This research uses descriptive qualitative analysis. This research uses theory from Kreidler (1998) as the main theory. The data from this research are eleven data, which consists of each of the data explain meaning, proposition, and implication. The process of data analysis are: (1) prepare the data, (2) analyzing the data, (3) to discuss the data, and finally (4) making inferences data. The results of this study indicate that the semantic discourse of Untuk Negeriku book by M.hatta have structure content are meaning, proposition, implication.
