Abstract
This study aims an explanation of how to find the personality disorders through main character in the movie My Friend Dahmer. This research is qualitative study with a 21 total data and 4 kinds of personality disorders. This research was conducted in September 2021 until October 2021. This research is concerned with the collection of data analysis, namely qualitative research. Moreover, for the theory of Psychoanalysis the researcher used the theory from Sigmund Freud and for the theory of Personality Disorder the researcher used the theory from Alwin. During implementation, the instruments to take the data are analysis the movie scene by scene. After the research was completed, this thesis came out with the result that there is a significant kinds of personality disorders who suffers the main character of the movie My Friend Dahmer. The interpretation of the data is majority are Borderline and Histrionic personality disorders which consists of 6 total data means 28 % from all the total are 21. Even though Schizoid and Antisocial personality disorders consists of 1 data means 5 % from all the total 21 data.
