Abstract

This research is aimed to find out the correlation between vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension of audit finding report in SHEQ team at PT. Keihin Indonesia, which located at Industry Area on Irian street JJ no. 1 Cikarang Barat, Bekasi. The population of the resarch is employees in SHEQ team and the samples are 30 employees. This research was conducted from March to August 2020. In actual implementation, tests are conducted on vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension for analyzed. The steps of the research are; (1) preparing the question, (2) examine the employees (3) assessing the answer, (4) analyzed the result. The data was analyzed by using statistic technique Product Moment Pearson. The calculation gets result 78.44% for vocabulary mastery test and 78,18% for reading comprehension test. It means that the employees’ vocabulary mastery was good and the employees’ competency in reading comprehension was fair. To test the significance between vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension used t-test and the result 0.90. It shows that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Based on the calculation, it can be concluded that there is the positive, significance, and strong correlation between vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension of audit finding report in SHEQ team at PT. Keihin Indonesia
