Abstract
Reading is a process carried out to practice an oral communication skills. The purpose of this research is to overcome the difficulties of students in reading comprehension, which includes aspects of planning, implementing, and evaluating learning. This learning focuses on reading comprehension by using reading aloud technique through playing games as a medium. Based on the explanation above, the writer is interested in conducting research on the application of reading comprehension by using the technique of reading aloud through playing games as a medium in learning reading comprehension in class IX students of SMPN 11 Tambun Selatan. The implementation was conducted from May - July 2020. After discover a result completing this research, the data were analyzed by using statistic techniques with SPSS version 23 program to discover the results of experimental study. The result shows that there is a significant influence between reading skills (variable X) and the reading aloud technique through playing games (variable Y), the researcher found tobserved was 4.139 > 1.729 ttable which is significant. It can be shown that the techniques used have contributed to the influence of student’s reading
