Abstract
The conjunction is an important material in English language skills, especially grammar, syntax. A conjunction is a word used to combine words, phrases, sentences or clauses. Here there are four types of conjunctions, namely compound conjunctions correlative conjunctions, subordinate conjunctions, and coordinating conjunctions. The conjunction function is to connect two or more sentence elements for the pupose of selecting. The purpose of this analysis is (1) to find the kinds of coordinating conjunction contained in the Business News of The Jakarta Post in April 2020. (2) to find the function of coordinating conjunction cointained in the business news of The Jakarta Post. The method used by the writer is descriptive qualitative method. The data source in this study was taken from the Business News The Jakarta Post in April 2020. The results of this research show that (3) the kinds of coordinating conjunction found in business news from The Jakarta Post are 42 data and five types of coordinating conjunction, there are 13 words of cumulative conjunction, there are 2 words of adversative conjunction, there are 5 words of disjunctive conjunction , and there are 11 words of inferential conjunction, and 11 words of explanatory conjunctions.
